Summer flies by…gigs, teaching, rehearsals, jams, and Lakeshore Collective debut regular jams at Lake Merritt!
It has been a fantastic summer - one that went by so fast, I couldn’t stop to post. However, it was a great time filled with ongoing teaching at YMCO (Young Musicians Choral Orchestra), private lessons, and at Oaktown Jazz Workshops. There were gigs, too many to list - a few most recent were 1) with Britney’s Peers (where we performed all over San Francisco for the Noise Pop series - those were fun and a great prep for our fall The Errors Tour in Spain and Portugal! More on this in the next post) 2) I played Lake Merritt in Oakland, opened for John Santos) I organized and brought together house band the Lakeshore Collective for a jam right across from 2200 Lakeshore. We managed to do several of these, and plan to do these jams regularly on Sundays, same spot, time and weather permitting. Always rewarding and inspiring to be out in the community, performing with musicians who pulled up, and meeting folks who stopped by to enjoy the music. Hard to believe we’re already heading into fall!
